I have been using AirPod (gen 2) and a Plantronics (PLT_Legend) as well as some USB connected headphones by Logitech for my conference calls. I am used to working at home, but since everyone has been restricted to staying at home in NYC, my neighbor has been extremely loud during his phone calls with friends and perhaps colleagues. He is singing to them at full voice a lot, and while he is fine at singing, he can go for 8 hours without stopping.I have been considering a set of noise canceling headphones and my priority has been wireless lately. I have a mix of computers and devices but my work computer is Windows 10 and my phone and tablet are IOS.I had tried out the Solo Pro's at an Apple store when they came out, but 299 seemed like a lot at the time, so when I saw the 'renewed' offer from Amazon I was intrigued, and made the purchase.I am reviewing these based on my experience of one day of use so I will update when necessary. The headphones came in a generic box (inside of an amazon shipping box) and everything was bubble wrapped effectively. The package included the headset, a charging cable, the carrying case, stickers, and a folded quick guide. When I started them up, the headsets would not instantly pair, but I looked up how to reset them (10 second press on the mode and volume down button) and they immediately worked correctly to sync with my IPhone and my IPad. I was also able to easily pair them with my Windows machine.Sound quality has been very good. I have a pair of Seinhauser headphones for music recording purposes which are probably better but for a wireless headset these have a nice sound. As noted by others, they are more neutral than Beats have been historically known. I listened to music and watched some streaming video and the quality was better than my AirPods. For teleconferencing, they performed perfectly. I have had no issue and switching between my devices has been relatively quick. The H1 chip links to my IPhone XS very quickly, and relatively fast on my IPad Pro (first gen) as well as Windows 10 laptop. No issues there. There is no software/app that pairs with these. Active Noise Canceling/Transparent Mode changes can be made with the mode button or by selecting the volume widget in the control center (click it and a little control panel pops up with mode and volume). I only knew that because I am used to IOS's relatively undocumented interfaces, but it is useful to know since you can't entirely tell which mode you are in.ANC worked really well. I have a mechanical keyboard and when I am using Noise Canceling, it is muffled. Normally there are sharp clicks. My neighbor has been almost entirely silenced. Transparent mode changes the sound quality substantially, although it is not 100% of the sound without the head sets. I think it works properly for what it is for. You can't adjust levels of ANC as you might with some headsets. Also you can't adjust equalization of the headsets themselves.Comfort wise, they feel like headsets always do. They press against my ears and eventually I need to take them off to get a break, but I have had them on for several hours both seated and cooking in the kitchen, and found them comfortable for on ear type.I can't vouch for battery charge timing, but I haven't run close to emptying them. Since I often run out of charge on my Airpod during an hour phone call, I am encouraged by that.I like that they use lighting cables to charge as I have several of these around my house and always travel with them. Others may find it annoying.Range is definitely better than either my Plantronics (which connect to a BT300M widget) and my Airpods. Places where normally I have drop out are still getting strong signal with almost no breakup. Even when there is a little cutout they don't lose connection and return to full performance without any glitch. My partner tried them on and now she is asking to borrow them. She found them comfortable and has a smaller head than I do. She liked the sound a lot.If you don't have IOS devices (especially newer ones) you probably would have fewer reasons to get these. At under 200 dollars, I think I have gotten a good deal. Hopefully they will last a while. They seem well made.
