These strings are outstanding. They help project a big and rich sound without masking the inherent qualities of the instrument. If you have a fine sounding violin to start with, these may be superb. Of course, instruments often respond to strings in different ways and everyone has their individual sound concept. So not everyone will have the same opinion or experience. I have tried both the medium and solo versions and prefer the solo on my particular instrument and for my performance purposes. As long as I find that these strings stand up well over time, I will continue using them instead of PI or Evah Pirazzi.
